Perfection Is Not Attainable.

Perfection is not attainable.

I'm a recovering perfectionist!

Perfection is not attainable. I am guilty of trying to make things perfect. There is no such thing! The beauty in striving for perfection, is that you place a very high standard on yourself and you require nothing but excellence not mediocrity.

But, perfectionism has its downside. It can allow you to procrastinate about your goals, and can inhibit you from ever getting things done. Hey, Michael Jackson, a fellow perfectionist once said to Oprah that he was never pleased about his work. But look at his amazing legacy and impact he made to the world!

-Remember to embrace the fear. Don't listen to the lizard brain in your head that's telling you all kinds of misleading things. Your thoughts have power. Don't allow lizard brain thoughts stray you away from your goals.

-Always go with your gut and stick to it. Whatever feels right in your heart go for it. We have that sixth sense so use it.

-Practice appreciation. There is always something to be grateful for. When you do this, it blocks out all negative thoughts and allow you to open up your heart to receive love and accept the simple things that matters most. There is always something to be grateful for.

You will never be perfect.
